Tom Hades resurrects Thomas Angstrom – May 2015

“FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 05/08/15

Tom Hades resurrects Thomas Angstrom for his new melodies.

Amsterdam, NE: Tom Hades is pleased to introduce his alias Thomas Angstrom once again after a 3-year hiatus. The music industry relies on titles to compartmentalize current sounds thus prompting Tom’s decision. Thomas Angstrom will be the moniker used for all productions that do not fit under the umbrella of the Tom Hades’ signature techno sound, the more melodic or experimental tracks he makes.

“I love pumping beats in pure techno form, I share the same feeling with tracks that build tension – where melodies and other elements flourish. It felt natural to create an alias for this part of me. Thomas Angstrom is created as an extension of my wider interest in music and ways of production.”Tom Hades

The first new release for Thomas Angstrom is out June 8th on Detone Records owned by Darren Emmerson (former group member of Underworld).

“As soon as I heard the first demo of Detoned, I knew this was a perfect fit for the label. It’s an amazing track with great energy. I’ve been playing it out and it always gets a fantastic response.” – Darren Emmerson

The next release coming shortly after with Thomas Angstrom has 2 remixes for a Kamara EP signed to Bush Records alongside Carl Cox and Roel Salemink & Drumcomplex as other remixers. Thirdly, Pig&Dan welcome the Thomas Angstrom moniker to their ELEVATE imprint with a release date later this summer.

We are so proud to have Tom back on our ELEVATE imprint as Thomas Angstrom. He always hits the techno nail on the head with his melodic masterpieces. Every single set we play has a Tom Hades smasher in it. He always supplies top class killers and the next release we have lined up is no exception…”Pig&Dan

The Angstrom moniker has seen some melodic releases in the past on labels such as Bedrock Records, Rhythm Converted and Girafe Sauvage and its new releases are following suit beyond a doubt beginning on June 8. Spiritual Soul Food For Weary Students – Press Release Project at Centennial College

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Spiritual Soul Food For Weary Students

Toronto, Canada – November 30, 2012 – It happens every few months, sleep-deprived students anxiously wandering the halls, searching for reprieve. At the end of the semester, it often seems all hope for sanity is lost. On Thursday, Dec 20th, at 8pm, The Centre for Creative Communications Campus at Centennial College will be transformed into an oasis as His Holiness the Dalai Lama brings some peaceful, after-exam talks to soothe the souls of weary students.

Today’s students have the worst emotional health of any students ever studied. Life is stressful to begin with, but college students face high levels of stress met with independence they never had before. Its no wonder the pressure is making them crack. Things such as meditating, hobbies, sleeping, self-care and time with friends all fight stress. Sure, these activities are obvious, but they also don’t make the cut when schedules are tight. Holding today’s youth in high regard, the Dalai Lama has graciously offered his time and energy to spend an evening discussing ways to maintain spirituality and calm in times of duress.

Peace in the world relies on individuals finding inner peace,” says His Holiness. The 90-minute session invites all students interactively to open up and work together for inner personal peace. His talk addresses how support from those around us plays a big role in trying times. “We need to encourage an understanding that inner peace comes from relying on human values like, love, compassion, tolerance and honesty.”

This is a session that is open to the community but will give priority admittance to students with valid Student ID. The Centre for Creative Communications is located at 951 Carlaw Ave., Toronto, doors open at 7:30pm on Dec 20th, 2012.
