The second interpretation of ‘The Rabbit Hole’ is provided by Amber Long who appears under her OPL alias for this project. The Canadian producer / vocalist is riding a wave of wonderful momentum at the moment. Amber’s 2014 was capped off with one of years most anticipated releases in ‘Sofia’; written in conjunction with Mike Griego it was a piece that touched the hearts of progressive house fans and will sit as genre classic for years to come. We first heard from Amber’s OPL production moniker in May of last year when she remixed Napalm and d-phrag’s ‘Substance (courtesy of Balkan Connection). Subsequent appearances on Agara Music and Fierce Animal Recordings further cemented the projects tough minded techno sensibilities and her interpretation of ‘The Rabbit Hole’ has turned out wonderfully as well. It’s dubby nature proves to be a great complement to the previous two versions. Deep, aquatic sounding bass lines and fluid electronics make for an incredibly smooth groove and the hazy surroundings are rich in psychedelia. Beautiful remix from OPL.
